| | | MISSION STATEMENT | | | | | |
| At The Hearing Center, improving your hearing is our first concern.
Our experienced physicians and audiologists have been providing audiological and hearing rehabilitation services for over 40 years. Together, we minimize hearing loss and its handicapping effects through a sophisticated rehabilitation program that uses today's state-of-the-art hearing evaluation equipment, the latest microcomputer technology, and a variety of prescriptive hearing aid fitting methods. What's more, our trial hearing aid program allows you to experience the latest in hearing aid technology at no obligation to purchase. Hearing loss compensation can be achieved, but only with the assistance of counseling, education, auditory training and appropriate amplification. With our expertise and the use of advanced computerized technology, we have the ability through our treatment program to help you hear what you've been missing! | |
| | | OUR HISTORY | | | | | |
| In 1967, Professional Auditory Therapeutics (P.A.T.) was established
by audiologist E. Pat Carter, Jr., who, at the time, was one
of the first clinical audiologists in the country to dispense
hearing aids and provide aural rehabilitation services for the
hearing impaired in a private practice setting. In partnership
with the physicians of Ear, Nose and Throat, Associates, P.A.T.
developed an unprecedented reputation in the Fort Wayne community
and throughout the state of Indiana as the premiere practice
servicing the needs of hearing impaired individuals. In 1985, due to the company's extensive expansion into neighboring
communities throughout northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio,
Professional Auditory Therapeutics became known as P.A.T. Hearing
Clinics. In 1997, the name would change again to reflect the
practice's expertise as the Center for Hearing Healthcare Services.
Today, The Hearing Center, along with the physicians
of Ear, Nose and Throat, Associates, P.C., boast one of the
largest private practice Ear Care Centers in the state of Indiana.
The practice includes a Balance Care Center providing the diagnoses
and treatment of vestibular disorders, a Cochlear Implant Program
under the direction of a board-certified Otologist, a Tinnitus
Management Program, a Central Auditory Processing Disorder Program,
a Pediatric Audiology Program, an advanced Electrophysiologic Evaluation Program, and Instant Hearing Solutions by The Hearing Center, the company's retail brand. |
